Helen Nugent is Executive Chairman of Hudson Australia/New Zealand. As a full-time company director, she is also a director of Macquarie Bank, Origin Energy, as well as being Chairman of Swiss Re (Life & Health) Australia and Funds SA.

Prior to becoming a company director in 1999, Helen was Director of Strategy at Westpac Banking Corporation. She has also been a Partner at McKinsey & Company and Professor in Management and Director of the MBA Program at the Australian Graduate School of Management.

Helen has been actively involved in the arts in Australia. In 1999, she chaired the Nugent Inquiry, and was Chairman of the Major Performing Arts Board from 1997 to Chairman of Opera Australia and a Director of the Playbox Theatre
